Evergreen Huckleberry
The term "Huckleberry" is used by many gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts to identify a type of wild blueberry. There are many different species in all corners of the world. Common to the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and inland coniferous forests, Evergreen Huckleberries have a long history of use by Native Americans as a food source and for colored dyes. These attractive plants grow well under forest canopies and also in the open sunlight. Huckleberries have care and maintenance requirements similar to their blueberry cousins.
